At HIS Organics®, our Entrepreneur Spotlight series exists to honor women who are building with intention—women whose work is rooted in purpose, stewardship, and service.
This month, we are honored to spotlight Ruth Buckmire, an educator, entrepreneur, and visionary leader whose life’s work is dedicated to nurturing children and strengthening families through education.
Ruth Buckmire is the CEO and Founder of His Preschool Learning Center, where she leads with excellence, compassion, and deep professional expertise in early childhood education. As Founder and Director, she oversees daily operations, staff development, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and family engagement—ensuring that each child is cared for in a safe, structured, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. Under her leadership, the center has grown into a trusted space where children are not only taught, but genuinely supported during their most formative years.
In addition to her work in early childhood education, Ruth is also the Founder and Executive Director of Hollis Academy, Inc., a nonprofit organization created to expand access to inclusive educational opportunities. Hollis Academy serves children with diverse learning needs through enrichment, life-skills programming, and community-based support designed to foster academic, social, and emotional growth.
At the heart of Ruth’s vision is a long-held dream: to open a school specifically designed for neurodivergent students. This future school will provide individualized instruction, therapeutic support, and life-skills education in an environment that honors how each child learns, processes, and thrives. Her goal is not to force children to fit into traditional systems, but to create a space where their differences are understood, supported, and celebrated.
Ruth’s leadership is marked by resilience, empathy, and faith. She brings both professional training and lived experience to her work, allowing her to lead with clarity, accountability, and compassion. Her journey reflects a deep belief that education is more than instruction—it is stewardship, calling, and legacy-building.
As Co-Owner of HIS Organics®, Ruth extends that same heart for care and intentional living into the wellness space, supporting a brand committed to wholeness—mind, body, and purpose. Her work across education and entrepreneurship reflects a unified mission: to build environments where people can grow, heal, and flourish.
We are proud to highlight Ruth Buckmire as a February Entrepreneur Spotlight and to honor the impact she continues to make in the lives of children, families, and communities. Her story is a reminder that when vision is paired with faith and perseverance, meaningful change is not only possible—it is sustainable.
